Well, here's a superficial take on things to lift your spirits. Had England not invaded Australia, all but killed off it's indigenous folk in a rabid soiree of institutionalised genocide and set up a quaint little rat-infested colony, my folks may never have been drawn out there from the Motherland. Which means, God save me, I would never have been born and Aussie but instead - a Brit. So thank you, England. That's one to you. You seem racked with post-colonial guilt.
